About us...
Tim Loftus built his first traditional boat aged 6. It was a willow-framed coracle, albeit with PVC sheeting replacing the more usual animal skin covering.
"My father must have had faith in our work as he let go of the painter and I drifted into the middle of the pond on which we held the first sea trials"
Since then Tim has acquired the experience required to build any wooden vessel from a classic sailing dinghy to a fully-fledged ocean going cruiser.
As both users and builders of wooden boats we have learned what works and what doesn't. We have a healthy respect for the power of the sea, which guides everything we do.
Based in Bristol we are well served with boatbuilding infrastructure and efficient transport networks.
